César Lerner and Marcelo Moguilevsky
Direct from Argentina, this brilliant duo presents a mesmerizing blend of klezmer, Argentinean folk music, tango and jazz improvisation. Their virtuosity on flute, bagpipe, duduk (wind instrument), clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano sax, harmonica, accordion, piano and percussion makes them sound more like an orchestra than a duet.
They have performed in concert halls and music festivals world-wide and in 2015, and accompanied fellow Argentinian, Pope Francis, on his visit to Israel.
Naturals on a wide range of instruments from accordion to whistles to vocals, their concerts are irresistible celebrations of how their unique sound creates connections between many diverse styles and traditions. Lerner and Moguilevsky have performed at some the top venues in world, ranging from the Mozartsaal of the Wiener Konzerthaus in Austria, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, and in the Purcell Room and the Royal Hall in London.
